UniMatrix Help & How-To Guide
This guide explains what each UniMatrix feature does, where to find it in the app, what each setting controls, and how to complete common tasks step by step.
Last updated: 21 June 2026
Getting started: create an account
To start using UniMatrix, open unimatrix.westlinetechlabs.com, create a free account, and pick a mode.
UniMatrix runs entirely in the browser — there is nothing to install. New users are guided through a short onboarding flow that sets language, learner profile and account type.
- Go to unimatrix.westlinetechlabs.com.
- Choose Sign up and register with your email (and password).
- Complete onboarding: choose your language, account type (for example a learner or a parent) and your starting learning level.
- You land in the app on the free plan with a daily allowance of credits — pick a mode and begin.
You can change your language, level, theme and other preferences at any time in Settings.
App layout & navigation
UniMatrix is organised into modes. You switch modes from the sidebar on desktop, or the bottom navigation bar on mobile.
Each mode has its own dedicated workspace, its own chat history and its own AI tutor persona. The main areas are:
- Mode switcher (sidebar / bottom bar): move between Chat, UniLearn, UniSkills, Unicode and UniCraft.
- Header: the current mode, model badge, and quick actions for the conversation.
- Profile menu: your account, plan, credits, UniTrack, the Parent Portal and Settings.
- Composer: the input box at the bottom where you type questions, attach files or use voice.
UniLearn — academic tutoring
UniLearn teaches school and university subjects step by step. Choose your level, subject and topic, and the tutor walks you through it.
It is designed to help you master the syllabus, not just get answers. Every completed lesson is recorded in UniTrack.
How to start a UniLearn lesson
- Open UniLearn from the mode switcher.
- Set your level (for example primary, secondary or tertiary), then pick a subject and a topic.
- Type what you want to learn, or accept a suggested starting point.
- Work through the explanation; ask follow-up questions at any time. The tutor adapts to your level.
- Take the short quiz when offered — your score is saved to UniTrack.
If the tutor decides the material is too easy or too hard, it can suggest moving you to a different level; you confirm the change.
UniSkills — job-ready skills
UniSkills teaches practical, career-focused digital skills — the kind employers pay for.
It works like UniLearn but is organised by skill category and skill instead of academic subjects.
How to start a UniSkills session
- Open UniSkills from the mode switcher.
- Pick a category and a specific skill.
- Tell the tutor your goal (for example "build a portfolio" or "pass an interview").
- Follow the guided path and practise as you go.
Unicode — AI code editor
Unicode is an AI code editor that helps you build real software with a live preview while teaching you to code.
Code, variable names and keywords stay in English; the AI's explanations appear in your selected language.
How to use Unicode
- Open Unicode from the mode switcher.
- Describe what you want to build, or paste existing code.
- Edit in the code panel on the left and watch the live preview on the right.
- Ask the AI to explain, fix or extend the code; it edits alongside you.
UniCraft — creative studio
UniCraft is a creative studio for generating images, video and music with AI.
Use it to create illustrations, short videos and audio for projects and learning. Generation actions spend credits according to the type and length of the output.
- Open UniCraft from the mode switcher.
- Choose what to create (image, video or music).
- Describe what you want, set any options, and generate.
- Save or download the result; images you create are kept in your gallery.
Live Sessions & Synapse
Live Sessions let you host a group class that the AI teaches in real time; others join with a share code.
Sessions run in UniLearn or UniSkills mode, so the AI teaches the room accordingly. Free accounts can host short sessions; paid plans remove the length limit.
How to host a session
- Start a new session and choose the mode (UniLearn or UniSkills) and topic.
- Share the join code or link with participants.
- Teach with the AI — it generates explanations, slides and quizzes for the group.
How to join a session
- Open the join screen and enter the share code you were given.
- Add your name and join the live room.
Synapse is a face-to-face AI video tutor for sessions and one-on-one tutorials. It is coming soon; paid plans advertise early access.
UniTrack & the Parent Portal
UniTrack records every lesson, quiz score and streak so learners and parents can see real progress, not just screen time.
Parents get a separate Parent Portal with a read-only view of a learner's activity, plus messaging and gifting.
Where to find it
- Learners open UniTrack from the profile menu to see their dashboard, quiz history and streaks.
- Parents open the Parent Portal to follow their child's progress and send encouragement.
UniGift — reward achievement
UniGift lets you send tiered, redeemable digital gifts to celebrate a learner's milestones.
Gifts come in editions for UniLearn and UniSkills, ranging from the entry tier up to the top tier, each carrying redeemable value.
How to send a gift
- Open the UniGift gallery (parents can do this from the Parent Portal).
- Choose a gift tier and the recipient.
- Add a message and confirm — the recipient is notified and can redeem its value.
Account & settings
Open Settings from the profile menu to control your language, theme, voice, learning level and account details.
Common settings and what they do:
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Language | The interface language and the language the AI replies in. AI answers follow this setting no matter what language you type in. |
| Theme | Dark or light appearance (a system option follows your device). |
| Voice / read aloud | Whether AI responses can be spoken aloud (text-to-speech). Reading a response aloud spends a small amount of credits. |
| Learning level | The difficulty the tutor pitches explanations at. The AI may suggest changing it; you confirm. |
| Profile | Your name, avatar and learner/parent details. |
Plans, credits & billing
UniMatrix uses credits: every AI action costs credits, and your plan sets how many credits you get.
The free plan's credits refresh every day; paid plans refresh monthly. Prices are in Ghanaian Cedi (GHS), and annual billing gives 2 months free (about 17% off).
| Plan | Price | Credits | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | GHS 0 | 100 / day | Trying every mode; light daily use |
| Standard | GHS 80 / month | 2,000 / month | Regular learners; the faster Nova tutor |
| Premium | GHS 325 / month | 8,000 / month | Heavy use; the Oracle tutor and deeper answers |
| Sovereign | GHS 1,160 / month | 60,000 / month | Power users and institutions |
How to upgrade
- Open Pricing from the profile menu.
- Choose a plan and a billing cycle (monthly or annual).
- Pay securely with Paystack. Your plan and credits update automatically once payment succeeds.
Credits are managed on the server, so balances and plans are always accurate across devices.
Languages
UniMatrix works in several languages, including English, Arabic, French, Twi, Hausa, Yoruba and Swahili.
Set your language during onboarding or in Settings. The whole interface and the AI tutor switch to it. Arabic is fully right-to-left. Brand names (UniLearn, UniSkills, Unicode, UniCraft, UniGift, UniTrack, Synapse, Nova, Oracle) stay in English in every language.
